11-12 January 1994 - delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of Latvia visited Azerbaijan.

21-23 November 1996 — Mr. I.Umpatis the head of the Second Political Department, MFA of Latvia visited Azerbaijan to held political consultations.

8 July 1997 during the NATO Summit the President of Azerbaijan H.Aliyev met with the President of Latvia G.Ulmanis.

25-26 May 1999 - Mr. R.Muchins the head of the Second Political Department, MFA of Latvia visited Azerbaijan to held political consultations.

10 September 1999 — during the Yalta Conference the President of Azerbaijan H.Aliyev met with the President of Latvia Mrs. V.Vike-Freyberg.

25 May 2000 — during the EAPC meeting in Florence Azerbaijan Foreign Affairs Minister V.Quliyev met with his counterpart Mr. I.Berzins.

5 November 2000 — Inter parliamentary group with Latvia was established in Milli Meclis (Parliament of Azerbaijan)

10-12 July 2001- The Foreign Minister I.Berzins paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.

17 March 2004 — Mr. A.Teikmanis, Under State Secretary, MFA Latvia, held political consultations in Baku.

6-9 October 2004 — Mr. N.Ibrahimov, the chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Azerbaijanis living in foreign countries paid a visit to Latvia.

3-7 May 2005 — The members of the Latvian-Azerbaijani Inter parliamentary group visited Azerbaijan.

15-16 August 2005 — Mr.S.Abiyev, Minister of Defence paid a visit to Latvia.
 
3-4 October 2005 — An official visit of the Latvian President V.Vike-Freyberg to Azerbaijan. During the visit seven Agreements and Presidents Joint Communiqué were signed.

11-12 November 2005 — The delegations headed by Mr. P.Vaivars, Under State- Secretary, MFA of Latvia, visited Azerbaijan.

2-4 June 2006 — Mr. O.Asadov Chairman of the Azerbaijan Parliament paid a working visit to Latvia.

14-15 September 2006 — Political Consultations between the two states were held in Riga.

3-5 October 2006 — The First official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Latvia.

7-10 December 2006 — Mr. F.Abdullayev the head of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Republic visited Latvia.

31 January 2007 — An agreement on cooperation between the National Library's of Azerbaijan and Latvian Republics were signed during the visit of Mr. K.Tahirov, the director of the Azerbaijani National Library named after M.F.Akhundov to Latvia.

1-3 March 2007 — in Baku took place the first session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Latvia on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.

8-10 March 2007 — Mr. O.Kastens, Latvian Public Integration minister participated at the first Forum of the heads of the Azerbaijan and Turkish Diaspora organizations.

29.03-01.04. 2007 — The delegation headed by Ms.I.Gudele, Latvian Electron Government issues minister paid a visit to Azerbaijan.

16-18 April 2007 — The official visit of the Mr. A.Pabriks, Latvian Foreign Affairs Minister.

28-29 May 2007 — Mr.A.Abbasov, Minister of Communication and IT participated at the event on communication issues, Yurmala, Latvia.

30 May 2007 — Sunday School for Azerbaijani children were established by "Ocaq" Cultural Centre of the Azerbaijanis living in Latvia.

18-19 June 2007 — Mr. Y.Strods, Latvian Minister of Economy, participated at
GUAM Summit in Baku.

23-25 June 2007 — Mr.E.Quliyev the head of the State border Service of Azerbaijan paid an official visit to Latvia.

1 November 2007 — Mr. E.Skuya Under State-Secretary of MFA Latvia visited Azerbaijan to held political consultations with Mr.Kh.Khlalafov deputy Foreign Affairs Minister.

23-24 January 2008 — Mr. H.Babayev, Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan paid an official visit to Latvia.

25-29 February 2008 — Mr. Q.Dabolins, the head of the State Border Guarding of Latvia paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.

23-24 April 2008 — Mr. E.Mammadyarov, Foreign Affairs Minister of Azerbaijan paid an official visit to Latvia.

15-17 February 2009 – Mr. M.Mammad-Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azserbaija paid an working visit ot Latvia

16-17 April 2009 - The official visit of the Mr. M.Riekstins, Latvian Foreign Affairs Minister.

9-13 August 2009 — An official visit of the Latvian President Valdis Zatlers to Azerbaijan. During the visit seven Agreements and Presidents Joint Communiqué were signed.
